A GRASSROOTS PROJECT IN SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION

The Forestry Classroom Network is a unique Learner-Centred, experiential, project-based education program , with the higher purpose of producing native trees for the planet.

It’s Need to know, cross- disciplinary approach to standard curriculum is a model for meaningful learning experiences and a fabulous challenge for 21st C  teachers and students.

Pioneering a GLOCAL  vision of network learning with partners around the world, developing eco-literacy for sustainable development.

The powerful combination of our need for trees and the value of youth-led learning experiences is common to all corners of the planet.

Tech education plays an important role in this concept. Participating schools will work on a specially designed Google Classroom-based platform, where teachers can upload and share their experiences and creative approaches to curricular content. Teachers will also be involved in online workshops and forums exploring the broad applications to the Forestry Classroom concept.
